Paper submission
All submissions were handled through the Conference Management System (CMS).
For the review process, an abstract of 800 words was submitted in either DOC or PDF format through the CMS.
No specific formatting guidelines applied for the preparation of the abstract. References, tables and figures were acceptable in the abstract. The 800-words limit excluded references.
All submitted abstracts were peer-reviewed by three independent referees from the International Program Boards.
Authors, whose abstract was accepted, were required to submit a full paper (maximum 10 pages long) by Friday, 4 February 2011 to be included in the Conference Proceedings.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Individuals could appear as co– authors in several papers in HCI International 2011 and the affiliated conferences, but could present only one paper.
Poster submission
These sessions accommodated the presentation of late-breaking scientific and professional news or work in progress.
For the review process, an abstract of 300 words was submitted through the Conference Management System (CMS).
No specific formatting guidelines applied for the preparation of the abstract. References, tables and figures were acceptable in the abstract. The 300-words limit excluded references.
Authors, whose abstract was accepted, were required to submit an extended poster abstract by Friday, 25 March 2011 to be included in the Conference Proceedings. These abstracts (absolute minimum 4 pages long and absolute maximum 5 pages long) should have been written in the form of a self-contained short research paper, according to the Springer manuscript guidelines.
Tutorial submission
Half-day and full-day Tutorials were offered at introductory, intermediate and advanced levels covering the entire spectrum of the topics of the Conference.
